Life goes on during a Pandemic

I figured I’d post up a personal update, as opposed to more Franklin Institute pictures or may latest nerdy adventures.

I’m thankful to be still happy and healthy here. Over the past couple weeks I’ve been kayaking at Lake Nockamixon, then camping and kayaking in French Creek, at both Scott’s Run and Hopewell Lakes. It was nice to get out of the house for once!

One thing to note in regards to Kayaking in PA: You need a permit to be able to kayak from any launches in a state park, which you can get at many sporting goods stores (usually any stores that sell fishing licenses). This video covers it.

One casualty of the kayaking was one of the plastic buckles on my kayak seat. Thankfully my hoard of “I may need that someday” gadgets from military surplus stores came in handy as I found a clip that replaced the broken one and got the seat sitting upright again.
