This is a list of tvs that have picture tubes suitable for use in arcade monitors. Need a tube? Search on Craigslist or hit the local thrift shops with a copy of this list. This is by no means an end-all list, there's no way I can list EVERY tv with a useable tube, but basically the ones that I've scavenged from thrift shops, craigslist, and curb finds.

Note that where you see mention of a "CR" Code, like CR-23 or CR-25, this is a reference for the pinout of the tube. It refers to the socket that is used for a B&K Precision tube rejuvenator, and is a good way to indicate socket compatibility. For example, a tube with a CR-23 socket will have the same pinout as any other tube with a CR-23 socket. A tube that is a CR-25 though will not be compatible with a CR-23 tube. Clear as mud?

Ladies/Gents - We need to find some of the rare/hard to find tubes out there! Even if you find oddball sizes, or even b&w tubes, please by all means just send them to me and I'll post them. Nintendo Cocktails take 14" tubes, Red-tent owners are in need of 18" tubes, and some games use a 19" or 23" b&w tube - send those as well!!

NEW - 25" Possible Amplifone Tube Donors!

There are some efforts being made in the arcade community to reconstruct 25" Amplifone vector monitors used in the popular Star Wars cockpit games. Supposedly these monitors used 100 degree 25" tubes that could be possible swaps or to build a DIY 25" Amplifone vector monitor. Some donors have been found and as such, I'm making note of them here for future reference. Note that I don't have any experience with these, just adding them for reference sake to save some of these tubes from the dump.

Known good donors:

• NEC N-6360 - Wooden cabinet with plastic back, dated 6/25/1990 (Tube 25V100)
• AKAI CT-K260 (Wooden cabinet, plastic handles on sides)
• Zenith B2500W (Wood grain plastic cabinet, dated 1985 (Tube A63AAX01X - mounting ears may be forward, one digit off orig)
• Philips 26CE199/75R (Tube R-A63ADG25X)
